Emmarsyn Fordham

Onaga junior Emmarsyn Fordham won the regional wrestling tournament in Rossville on Saturday at 235 and broke multiple school records in the process.
Emmarsyn broke the single season record for both pins and wins. The previous mark was 18 pins and 20 wins and Emmarsyn left the regional tournament with 21 pins and 23 wins.
The previous records were held by Morgan Mayginnes and for Emmarsyn, it's her first season out with the wrestling team.
She won her first two matches of the tournament by first round pin and won the regional championship with an 18-3 tech fall.
Emmarsyn will head to the 3-2-1A state tournament in Hays on Feb. 28 with an overall record of 23-5.
