Doniphan West Girls Basketball Team

Two years removed from winning the Class 1A-I state championship, the Doniphan West girls basketball now has a chance to win it in 2A in 2025.

D-West is the #8 ranked team in the class and won the sub-state tournament with wins against Pleasant Ridge, Jackson Heights, and Wabaunsee.

It’s been a balanced effort all season with five players averaging between 7 and 10 points per game and the defense has been exceptional surrendering just 38 points per game.

Their overall record is 17-5 and the five losses have come against four teams that are playing in state tournaments.

The Mustang seniors include Brennah Edie, Katie Johnson, and Brooklyn Rawles. Side note, they also had five losses going into the state tournament two years ago.
