The Valley Falls baseball team is off to an impressive 4-0 start and they have been dominant on both sides of the ball.
The Dragons swept ACCHS with a pair of 10-0 wins and followed that up with a 15-0 & 11-0 sweep at McLouth.
Hayden has had a top tier career with the Dragons program. Against ACCHS, Hayden surpassed the career doubles record with 28.
Against McLouth, he surpassed the career hits record with 114 while also holding the top spot in career batting average at .498. He’s also on pace to pass the career runs scored record.
Hayden is batting .800 this season with two doubles, seven RBI’s, and seven runs. It’s been 160 plate appearances since his last strikeout, and he’s only struck out twice in his last 250 plate appearances.
It’s worth noting that Hayden has been doing all this damage early in the season on a sprained ankle that hasn’t fully healed since the end of the basketball season.
