Centralia Girls Basketball

It was perfection for the Centralia girls basketball team as they capped a 26-0 season with the 1A-I State Championship defeating undefeated Little River 50-43 in the title game.
Oen Deters led the charge in the championship game finishing with 29 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. Tava Gibbs finished with 10 points and seven rebounds, Hayden Kramer added five points and 10 rebounds, Tatum Kramer finished with four points, and Josie Haverkamp finished with two points and six rebounds.
The Panthers defeated St. John’s-Hudson 50-27 in the first round and Troy 58-40 in the semifinals.
They dominated the regular season sweeping the Twin Valley League regular season and tournament titles while only having one game prior to sub-state being decided by less than 10 points.
Oen Deters and Tava Gibbs were named First Team All-League while Hayden Kramer and Josie Haverkamp earned Second Team All-League honors.
The Panther senior class is Oen Deters, Tatum Kramer, Isabel Haverkamp, and Kyra Niehues.
