Holly Thacher

Oskaloosa senior Holly Thacher accomplished something that not many people have done in the state in wrestling. 

This past weekend in Hays at the 3-2-1A State Wrestling Tournament, Holly secured her fourth straight state title at 120 pounds. 

She won all four of her tournament matches in dominant fashion as her first two matches resulted in first round pins in under a minute. 

Her semifinal win was by a 15-0 tech fall and she would secure the four-peat with a 10-2 majority decision in the title match. 

Her senior season record ended at 32-2 with her career record finishing at 118-9. 

This is the fourth time in her career that Holly has earned an athlete of the week honor.
