Kyson Proffitt

Jackson Heights’ Kyson Proffitt has been an elite track and field athlete for the last few seasons.

He started his 2025 season last week at Holton taking home first place in the 100m, 200m, and 4x400m relay.

He’s won the regional title in both the 100m and 200m in each of the last two seasons and is a two-time state qualifier. Last season he placed 6th at state in the 100m and 8th in the 200m.

His prelim time of 22.70 at state in the 200m tied a 50-year school record.

He’s the anchor for the 4x100m relay team that set the school record last season with a time of 44.53.
