Tre'nez Wilkinson

The track season started in sprinting fashion for Riverside Cyclone senior, Tre’nez Wilkinson who notched four individual first place finishes in his first competition of the year at the Riverside Track Relays.

Cyclones hosted track action to open the season and took third of eight teams competing on the boy’s side of action and Wilkinson helped pace the Riverside squad by taking four first place finishes. Wilkinson sprinted to three of the four wins racing his way past the competition to the times of 11.01, 23.09 and 53.29 winning the 100, 200 and 400 meter dashes, respectively. The Riverside seniors other first place finish came in the field competitions after posting a leap of 19’05 to take the gold in the long jump winning the event by over two feet.

As a junior, Wilkinson made the 3A State competition in Wichita after taking first in the 400 meter dash at Regionals and earned fifth place finish at State.

The Riverside senior hopes to use the strong start to the track season to propel himself to a strong senior year and back to Wichita for the State competition.
