Emma Yungeberg of Valley Heights is one of the best throwers in the state.

Her dominance continued last week as Valley Heights hosted their invitational. Emma won the discus, javelin, and shot put as the Mustangs finished third behind Hanover and Marysville.

As of Saturday, Emma had the fifth best throw in the state in the javelin, and the fifth best throw in the state in the shot put (all classifications).

Considered one of the nation’s elite throwers and is looking to defend two state titles this season as she took home the Class 2A javelin and shot put titles last season.

Emma is heading to Michigan next season to continue her track and field career.
