Avery Deters

It wasn’t quite the ending that the Centralia volleyball team wanted this past weekend, but it was still a very strong season as the Panthers closed it out with a third-place finish at the 1A-D1 State Tournament in Dodge City.
Senior Avery Deters was a big reason for the Panthers success as she helped the team go 38-7 with that finish at state. Deters is an all-around solid player that can make plays in the back row and on the outside.
Deters is always looking to make the plays to help her team be successful, along with being a great motivator for the team.
Deters serving percentage this season was 99% and had a hitting average of 90%. Deters also tallied 240 kills prior to state in Dodge City.
Head coach Tammy Talley knows how valuable of a player Deters was both on and off the court and says that she will be sorely missed next season.
