Kyle Glissman

Valley Falls is off to a fast start in the Delaware Valley League this year behind a 7-2 record, having scored at least five runs in every game but one, with four games having scored 20 plus runs this season.

Senior first baseman, Kyle Glissman has helped provide the punch early on this season for the Dragons touting a .567 batting average with 25 RBI’s and two home-runs on the season.

The offensive onslaught by the Dragons was put on against the McLouth Bulldogs last week with 20-2 and 22-4 wins. Kyle lead the way with a 5-9 day, tallying four doubles and eight RBI’s in the two contests, helping continue a trend for himself on the season that multi-hit games which Glissman has had in eight of the nine Dragons contest this season. With his most recent performance coming against Doniphan West in a 15-0 win, as Kyle went 2-3 with three RBI’s.

Dragons head coach, Jeff Schneider made the remark that Kyle is having a great season as a great overall year would be 22-24 RBI’s, while the senior as already posted that mark through eight games. While Kyle’s offense is a key to the Dragons success it might not be the most important thing he provides.

Probably, "Kyle's biggest asset to our team would not only be that he is a great leader but that he leads by example" said head coach Jeff Schneider.

First baseman, Glissman has helped the Dragons success on the baseball diamond continue this season as they look to reach the 18 win plateau again for the fourth straight year and make the state tournament for what would be the fourth time in the last five seasons.
