Being a top athlete in just one sport in high school is tough enough, but for Axtell junior Quinn Buessing he has no problem of being a multiple-sport star and last week he showed just that claiming four Twin Valley League track titles.
Buessing started of the day by winning the 800-meter run by one second, before following that up with a 3-second win in the 1600-meter run.
None of his wins were as impressive as his win in the 3200-meter run, as Buessing dominated his competition winning the event by over 30 seconds.
He then wrapped up the day with a relay event win, as he teamed up with three other Eagles to capture the 4 by 800-meter relay.
The four wins continued was has been a strong junior season for Buessing, who threw for over 2,500 yards and 51 touchdowns on the gridiron, finished fourth in 1A cross country and was also a 1A all-state basketball selection.
Buessing will look to cap off his junior campaign with a berth in the state meet in Wichita as regionals are scheduled to be held Thursday, May 16 at Washington County High School.
