Shay Tanking

The Holton lady Wildcats are finding their groove it may seem as they sit at 10-1 and have one eight games in a row.

Last week Holton earned wins over Sabetha 42-31 and Hiawatha 58-18 and Shay Tanking spear headed the Wildcat performances. Tanking poured in 24 points against Sabetha and filled the stat sheet quite nicely adding six rebounds, three assists and three steals in the win. The senior’s fifth 20+ point game of the season came in the next week for Holton against Hiawatha as she scored 21 points. She added five steals and three assists in the win over the Red Hawks.

On the season Tanking has led the charge for the Wildcats with 17.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.7 steals per game.

Throughout the year Tanking has recorded double figures in 10 of the 11 games played for Holton, with a double-double against ACCHS (14 points and 11 rebounds).

Holton Wildcats and Tanking look to continue their strong performances as they build for a strong finish for the season.  Tanking has also signed to play college basketball at Washburn University next year.
