The season started off in a dominating fashion for the Falls City Tigers as they went out on the road and routed Lincoln Lutheran, 42-0 to open the season with a win, dominating the entire game in many facets.
One key to the success of the Tigers on the field was the play of senior, Jack Hartman who helped pace the offense on the day as Falls City ran the ball effectively against the Lincoln Lutheran Warriors and pounced when the opportunity was prime with the pass. Hartman finished the night with five pass attempts in the game and completed three all for touchdowns, finishing 3-5 for 108 yards and three scores through the air. Jack connected with Lee Huettner for a 23-yard touchdown, later linked up with Aaron Kurpeweit before the half for a 25-yard touchdown and hit Jordan Stoller later in the game for a 60-yard touchdown.
On top of the three passing touchdowns Hartman was an integral part of the Tigers rushing attack against the Warriors that posted 272 rushing yards on 40 carries as a team. Jack, notched 108 yards on the ground on 14 carries out of the Falls City backfield.
