1A Boys Golf Frankfort Regional Results - click here
The Twin Valley League highlighted the Class 1A Frankfort boys golf Regional on Monday with a pair of TVL schools taking two of the three team spots at State.
Leading the charge was the Frankfort boys golf team who won a Regional title for the second straight year this year posting a team score of 364 to win by 46-strokes. Four of the Top six performances helped Frankfort to the dominate win. Josh Tynon led the Wildcats carding an 86 to take second place, while Austin Hardwick shot a 87 to place third. Aiden Grestner and Brandon Bussmann posted rounds of 94 and 97 earning fifth and sixth place, while Spencer Dressman with a 98 took eighth. Brandon Anderson was also in action for Frankfort and took 13th place.
Centralia Panthers earned a spot at State as a team in Class 1A by taking third finishing with a team score of 415. Nathan Rempe led the Panthers placing seventh with a 97, while Kenton Talley finished in tenth with a 101. Nathan Haufler, Trent Mars and Jeremy Penix were also in action for Centralia placing 14th, 22nd and 30th.
The top five individual rounds outside of the qualify teams also earn a spot at State and Washington County, Hanover and Onaga will all be sending golfers to State. Kobe Hoover of Washington County shot a 92 to take fourth and Pepe Cardenas shot a 105 to place 12th for the Tigers to both qualify for State. Hanover Wildcats Dawson Sedlacek and Zach Bruna both earned spots at State after placing ninth and 11th with rounds of 101 and 102. Tommy Kaberline of Onaga placed 15th and also earned a spot at State.
Class 1A State tournament is set for Monday, May 21st at Dodge City on the Mariah Hills golf course.
