The Centralia girls were dominate in Thursday's (9-14) cross country invite hosted by Onaga at Cool Springs Golf Course. The Lady Panthers won by double digits over second place Rock Creek while the Clifton Clyde girls were third and Frankfort fourth. Rossville, Axtell and Jackson Heights finished out the 7 team standings.
On the boys side, Axtell claimed third place behind Rock Creek and St. Mary's Acadmey. However, the Eagles has the individual champion as Grady Buessing was 28 seconds ahead of all other runners. Gavin Shaughnessy brought home a sixth place medal for the Eagles as well and Blase Buessing (15th), Abram Kostal (17th) and Colin Shaughnessy (20th) all finished in the top 20 for Axtell.
Centralia had Kris Fulkerson claim 10th place individually on the boys side while Nate Linck of Jackson Heights placed 12th. Titus Cobb led Blue Valley Randolph in 9th place while Clifton Clyde got an 11th place medal from Cohen Girard and 14th place finish by Landon Begnoche to help the Eagles place 5th as as team.
