Hiawatha Wins Home Volleyball Invite

For the fifth year in a row, the Hiawatha volleyball team won their home invitational. The  Redhawks went 4-0 in pool play before topping Jeff County North in the semifinals. Hiawatha then beat Centralia for the second time on the day 26-24 and 25-23 to claim the championship with all six of their matches going only two sets.  Hiawatha's record is now 14-8 on the season. 

Centralia placed second with only a pair of losses to Hiawatha while JCN topped Bishop Seabury to claim third place honors. The Panthers are now 12-6 on the season. 

Other teams competing that did not advance out of pool play included: Troy, Doniphan West, Lafayette, Atchison and Horton.
