Mother Nature has not been kind to the Peru State Bobcat women's golf team, and she was not much better on Sunday!  However, the Bobcats and others participated in the howling winds in the Nebraska Wesleyan Spring Invite and enjoyed Monday's weather much better.

Peru State, as a team, finished sixth of 11 teams in the tourney that was won by Iowa Western Community College with a two-day team total of 681.

Jordan Schaardt of Humboldt led Peru State with rounds of 94 and 82 for a two-day total of 176.  Schaardt finished in a tie for ninth.  Courtney Musgrave (Omaha) had rounds of 96 and 87 for a 183 total.  Musgrave finished in a tie for 16th.

Katie Potter (Omaha) shot rounds of 96 and 94 for a two-day total of 190 and finished in a tie for 24th.   Jacey Stoner (Alda), finished with a two-day total of 202, after having rounds of 98 and 104, good for 39th.  Elizabeth Huls (Beatrice) had rounds of 134 and 129 for 263, good for 51st.

If the weather permits, Peru State will have a dual with the College of St. Mary in Omaha on April 22, beginning at noon.

Then, on April 24 and 25, the Bobcats will travel to Lawrence, Kansas, to play in the Baker Invitational.

The post-season Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) tournament is scheduled to be played on May 6 and 7 in Missouri.
