A contest between the Trojans and the Oilers featured three total lead changes, no tied scores, and an intense finish with the Troy Trojans putting down the hammer in the fourth quarter to win just 33-25.

Central Plains led at the end of the first quarter with the score 12-10 and only led at the half 16-13. A Defensive brawl was en route between both these teams to the end of this game. Troy shot 4/20 in the first half, hitting two threes, and going three of four from the free throw line. Central Plains nearly shot fifty percent at the half with seven total buckets made.

Troy would finally out-score the Oilers in a quarter, in the third 9-7, it was still a Central Plains lead heading into the fourth 23-22. It took nearly five minutes for anyone to rip the seal off the rim in the fourth quarter, and once Troy did it, it was all over for the Oilers. Troy would out-pace Central Plains in the fourth and out-score them 11-2 in the quarter to reach the final of 33-25, Troy victorious. The Trojans ended the game with just four players with points.

Despite winning, Troy shot just 20% on the game from the field, hitting just eight of forty shots taken. Central Plains ended the game with a 35% shooting percentage with eleven shots made out of thirty-one thrown up. The x-factor for Troy was forcing twenty-one turnovers and snagging eleven steals, while only turning the ball over themselves twelve times. The Trojans would also dominate from the free throw line, going thirteen of fourteen with Harper Whetstine ending with a twelve of twelve charity-stripe performance. Emerson Webber was also huge in the win for Troy having gone three of six from beyond the ring, with a massive three to take the last lead.

Troy will play Centralia on Friday at 2:00 PM.
