Area boys wrestling teams competed at the Class 3-2-1A regional tournament on Saturday at Council Grove. 

Teams competing were Horton, Doniphan West, Centralia, Troy, McLouth, Frankfort, Onaga, Pleasant Ridge, Royal Valley, Maur Hill-Mount Academy, Riverside, St. Marys, Rossville, Oskaloosa, Riley County, Sabetha, and Atchison County. 

The top four wrestlers frome each weight class qualified for the state tournament which will be held Feb. 28-March 1 in Hays. 

ACCHS dominated the team standings winning the regional title with 230 points while second place Council Grove finished with 136.5 points. 

Sabetha, Riley County, and Herington rounded out the top five team scores. 

ACCHS had six regional champions with Evan Falk, Kannon Crossland, Easton Schletzbaum, Max Bottorff, Houston Schletzbaum, and Elijah Webb. 

Easton Schletzbaum was named the regional wrestler of the year while Tigers head coach Cody Kramer was named the regional coach of the year. 

Other area regional champions were Marshall Waters of Pleasant Ridge and Charles Thacher of Oskaloosa.
