The Kansas Basketball Coaches Association have updated their rankings as of Jan. 28 with plenty of area teams holding it down in across multiple classes.
Girls: The defending 3A champs, Silver Lake, holding down their spot at #3 behind only Hesston and Halstead.
Doniphan West the lone squad in the 2A ranks as the Mustangs are up to #6 this week.
Centralia fresh off the TVL Tournament championship continue to hold the #2 spot in 1A-I behind only Little River. Clifton-Clyde still holding their spot at #4 in the class while Troy moves up one notch to #6.
Hanover is coming off their lone loss of the season to Centralia in the TVL title game still holding the #1 spot in 1A-II.
Boys: The Atchison Phoenix still in the rankings this week in 4A but they have dropped a few spots to #10 this week.
Nemaha Central, undefeated and fresh off the Thunder Classic championship win, are up a couple of spots to #4 in Class 3A while St. Marys holds a spot down at #9.
Rossville won the Valley Falls tournament last week and they are #5 in 2A this week while Maur Hill-Mount Academy is #7. Horton is into the ranks this week as the Chargers are ranked #9.
Axtell is coming off their third straight TVL Tournament title from this past weekend they still hold their #2 spot in 1A-II behind only Cunningham while Hanover stays in the ranks at #5.
