Trenton Talley was fantastic down the stretch for the Centralia Panthers helping his team get to the 1A-I State Tournament.
Talley hit the game winning shot as time expired in the Sub-State Championship game against Burlingame that sent the Panthers to Dodge City. It was the 17th all-time appearance at the State Tournament and first since 2018.
Talley was a consistent piece all season averaging nearly 14 points and five rebounds per game helping the squad to 15 wins.
His success this season also earned him First Team All-League honors in the TVL.
Talley is set to participate in the 37th annual Northeast Kansas All-Star game which will be on Sunday, March 26th at 3:00 PM at Highland Community College.
“Trenton is the most humble kid I have had the chance to coach. He is our team leader and leads more so by example,” said Centralia head coach Nick Evans. “He will be a tough piece to replace.”
