Katelyn Detweiler

Katelyn Detweiler of the Axtell track team continues her solid run through the season with multiple school records to her credit. 

She recently broke her own school record in the shot put (39' 7.5") while also breaking a 27-year-old record in the javelin (123' 8"). The previous record in the javelin was set by Carrie Meyer in 1999 which was a mark of 122' 8". 

Not only does Katelyn hold both the school records in the javelin and shot put, but she is also the school record holder in the discus which she accomplished last season (122-6). 

Last year, she finished 7th at State in the javelin and is prime for another big run into the postseason.
