Taylor Weishaar

The Riverside girls basketball team got off to a good start this season with a win at Troy on Friday night.

In the 52-46 win, junior Taylor Weishaar led the charge with a monster double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds. The 6’2 forward is arguably the toughest matchup in the Big 7 as she can pass, dribble, shoot and can score at every level.  

Taylor was a unanimous All-Big 7 selection last season after averaging 14 points and 10 rebounds per game as a sophomore. She also tallied three steals and two blocks per game.

Taylor was also Honorable Mention Big 7 during her freshman season.

Cyclones are off to a 1-0 start with games this week against Doniphan West and Jefferson West.
