Oskaloosa Girls Cross Country Team Shines at NEKL Meet
Oskaloosa Girls Cross Country Team

This is the first time in over 15 years that the Oskaloosa girls have been able to field a full cross country team.

They have won five of their seven meets this season including winning the Northeast Kansas League Title last week.

Emma Vogel won the individual title at the NEKL meet and won two other events during the season. She posted her best time of the season when she won the McLouth Invitational.

Katelyn Vogel, Holly Thacher, and Taylor Peterson finished second, third, and fourth place respectively at the NEKL meet while Lili Moffet finished top-20.

Head coach Stephanie Aldridge says the determination and tenacity that the girls show in practice and meets impresses her every day. They’ll look to win a Regional Title on Saturday at Wabaunsee.
