Frankfort's Ebert Scores 34 Points and Goes over 1,500 Career Points
Emilee Ebert

After committing to a Division I college, there are often high expectations put on the shoulders of high school athletes that are sometimes tough to live up to.

For Frankfort senior girls’ basketball player Emilee Ebert she has lived up to those expectations and more, as she is off to one of the best starts around the state of Kansas which continued with another outstanding past week.

On Tuesday she had one of the performances of the year as she scored 34 points, recorded 13 rebounds, dished out three assists and recorded three steals in the Wildcats 70-57 win over Blue Valley.

She followed that up with another complete stat line in Friday’s 59-49 win over Centralia, notching nine points, five rebounds, six assists and four blocks.

Ebert also went over 1,500 points in her career in the win on Friday, as she is averaging just under 18 points per game on the season.

In her career she has been named all-state three years, as she earned a first team selection last season and her sophomore year while being named a third team selection her freshman season.

Ebert has had big-time moments already this season, as she led the Wildcats to a Twin Valley League tournament championship including a game-winner in Frankfort’s semifinal victory over Centralia.

She is shooting nearly 80 percent from the free throw line and nearly 60 percent from the floor, while shooting nearly 40 percent from the 3-point line.

Ebert will look to continue her strong senior campaign and lead the Wildcats to the state tournament before heading off to play at Missouri State next season.
