Immaculata Boys Golf Team

To win one State title is a tough task in its self but to repeat as State Champs that is a pretty big feat and the Immaculata Raiders boy’s golf team accomplished that feat this year repeating as Class 1A State Champions.

After claiming the Regional title the Immaculata Raiders boy’s golf tea was headed to the 1A State competition to defend their State title and at the Trails West golf course in Fort Leavenworth the Raiders accomplished that goal of defending their State title.

With a team score of 347 the Raiders took first place by eight-strokes and improved upon their team score from 2015 by 13-strokes.

Leading the Raiders was Evin Wheaton who placed fourth individually with an 82 on the links, while Dawson Shroeder and Ian Wheaton also finished in the Top 10 placing seventh and tenth with rounds of 83 and 87. Jacob Murphy and Justin Varney finished out the Raiders competitors at State each carding rounds of 95.

Teeing it up for the second straight year as team at State the Raiders brought home the hardware again to write the final chapter of their boys golf season with a strong finish.
