For the 11th time in the 20 years of the Twin Valley League tournament the Centralia lady Panthers brought home the tourney title and continued their strong performance this season moving to 10-1 on the year.
Sophomore, Katie Glatczak has been right at the front of the Panthers success this season with her performances on the court and helped guide Centralia to the TVL Tournament title with her teammates. Glatczak posted 17 points in all three Panther wins in the Tournament as Centralia beat Clifton-Clyde 53-26 in the Quarterfinals, topped Axtell 67-60 in the Semifinals and took down Hanover 55-48 in the Championship game.
On the season Glatczak has helped lead Centralia on the floor leading the team in scoring with 16.3 points per game and notching double figures in all but one game this year. The sophomore has been filling the stat sheet with more than points, too averaging four rebounds per game, three assists per game and 2.5 steals per game.
Glatczak’s best output on the season was 20 points which she’s accomplished three times this season.
The Panthers who finished 1A-DI State Runner-up last year are riding a wave of success this season and look to continue that through the rest of the year with Glatczak and her teammates setting their sights on more accomplishments.
