It was raining three’s and the offense was flowing through Sabetha Bluejay junior, Alexis McAfee back on Friday as she poured in 34 points to help lead the Bluejays past Jeff West on the road 64-49 and move to a 3-0 record on the season.
McAfee was scorching hot from three-point land against the Tigers as she drained seven three’s, going 7-10 from behind the arc on her way to posting over half of the teams points, finishing with 34. The junior helped the Lady Bluejays also get wins over Marysville (58-26) and Holton (44-30) to open the year and fly to their 3-0 record.
On the young season, Alexis is averaging 18.3 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 4.3 apg, 3.3 spg, filling the stat sheets with not only points, but doing a little bit of everything on the floor, while also shooting 8-16 from three-point land on the year.
The Bluejays are looking to head into the holiday break riding momentum and have a pair of games left before the break with ACCHS and Hiawatha.
