Nemaha Central Football Senior Class

We are highlighting the Nemaha Central Football Senior Class as our Athletes of the Week.

The Thunder won their fourth state title in school history this past weekend in Hutchinson defeating Southeast of Saline 35-6.

Caleb Strathman opened the game against SES with an 84-yard kickoff return touchdown and followed that with a 76-yard punt return touchdown in the first two minutes of the game.

Carter Hajek rushed for 211 yards and two touchdowns, and Jayden Seitz rushed for 42 yards and a touchdown. Jack Macke finished with 12 tackles, Kanin Sudbeck finished with 12 tackles, Strathman finished with 10 tackles, and Kamden Schmitz finished with seven tackles and two tackles for loss.

The Thunder senior class closed out their epic four-year run with a record of 50-2 with three state championships.
