The lead was never changed, and the match was never tied, it was only Silver Lake Eagle dominance through and through to the very end. Despite a non-impactful second half for the Eagles, they had built a big enough first-half lead to cruise to the 56-45 final.

The first quarter ended 17-8 with the Eagles having scored at one point seven points in a quick minute to get ahead early against the Trojans. Silver Lake hit six total buckets in the first quarter, with one being a three-pointer, while also shooting four of eight from the charity stripe. Girard was limited to only five total shots in the first quarter, having only made one.

The lead would only grow for Silver Lake as they would get it to 33-21 at the half. The Eagles had another quarter with six buckets and a single three-pointer made. Silver Lake would finish the half with over fifty percent on their shooting percentage while Girard would shoot under thirty-three percent from the field.

Silver Lake would out-score Girard in just one more quarter 12-10 in the third, taking a 45-31 lead into the fourth quarter. The Trojans would out-score the Eagles in the fourth 14-11, but it would be enough to tilt the contest back into their hands. Silver Lake ends it 56-45 over Girard, capturing win number twenty-two on the year.

Silver Lake would end the game with twenty points scored from the fast break and twenty-six total points scored inside the points. Both teams turned the ball over seventeen times.

Next up for the Silver Lake Eagles is Hesston at 6:00 PM on Friday. The semifinal match-up between both teams is a state title rematch from last year, in which the Eagles would capture the 3A title over Hesston by a final score of 66-61.
