The Kansas Basketball Coaches Association have released their updated rankings for the first week of February.
Girls: The defending 3A champs in Silver Lake hold their spot at #3 behind only Hesston and Halstead while Riley County enters the ranks for the first time at #10.
Doniphan West continues their slow climb towards the top as they are up to #4 in the 2A classification.
Another week for Centralia to be ranked #2 in 1A-I behind only Little River while Clifton-Clyde is up one spot to #3 and Troy is ranked #6.
Hanover drops one spot to #2 in 1A-II, trailing only Lebo who holds the top spot.
Boys: Only three teams are ranked higher than Nemaha Central in Class 3A as the Thunder are ranked #4. The three teams ahead of NC are Wichita Collegiate, Goodland, and Haven.
St. Marys continues to rep the Big East league in the 3A classification as the Bears are ranked #9.
Maur Hill-Mount Academy continues to slowly move up in Class 2A with the Ravens ranked #5 this week. Rossville and Valley Falls both inside the top 10 at #6 and #8 respectively.
Axtell remains #2 in 1A-II behind only Cunningham while Hanover jumps inside the top five to #4 this week. Also, Linn enters the ranks for the first time this season at #10.
