Plenty of great volleyball action has been played so far this season and as the season continues the Kansas Volleyball Association has released the Week four rankings which features seven area teams in the polls. (The rankings were put together before the classifications were announced for this year this week - thus the rankings will reflect the classification changes next week)

The highest ranked area team in volleyball continues to be the Centralia Panthers who come in at #2 again this week in Class 1A-Division I. Panthers sit at 20-1 on the season after earning wins over Troy and Valley Heights in TVL action on Tuesday. The Hanover Wildcats also remain in the Class 1A-DI rankings checking in again at #5 this week. Wildcats own a 22-7 record on the season after beating Onaga and Frankfort on Tuesday night in TVL action.

Class 2A continues to feature three area teams but one of the three will move to Class 1A polls next week as Valley Falls Dragons are changing to 1A classification this year. The Dragons for this week are down one spot to #7 in the 2A rankings and sit at 17-5 on the season after beating Jefferson County North and Horton on Tuesday. JCN also remains in the 2A rankings as the Chargers are also down one spot at #10 with a 14-6 record falling to Valley Falls on Tuesday but picking up a win over Horton. Valley Heights Mustangs moved up one spot to #9 in 2A and are 18-7 on the season picking up wins over Axtell and Troy Tuesday night while falling to Centralia.

In Class 3A a pair of Big Seven League teams continue to be in the rankings as Nemaha Central Thunder sit at 25-1 on the season and continue to be ranked #5 in the polls. The Thunder took down Jeff West in two Big Seven contests on Tuesday. Royal Valley improved to 14-4 on the season after sweeping Sabetha on Tuesday in League action and moved down one spot in the polls to #10 in 3A.
