Oskaloosa Girls and JCN Boys Win McLouth CC Invite

McLouth hosted their annual Cross Country Invite on Thursday, September 14th with the Oskaloosa girls and Jeff County North boys dominating the team standings. Oskie had the top two female runners while JCN boys claimed four of the top six spots. 

GIRLS Complete Results

The Oskie girls had the top two individual placers and won the teams standings by 29 points over Valley Falls, with Pleasant Ridge and JCN and distant third and fourth. Katelyn Vogel (junior) and Emma Vogel (sophomore) finished first and second while Taylor Peterson (junior) and Katie Peterson (freshman) were 8th and 11th, respectively. The Lady Bears also had Lili Moffet (sophomore) place 17th. 

JCN had five ladies inside the top 21 led by Aubrey Phillips who placed 3rd overall. Lucy Henderson was 9th for the Lady Chargers while Ivy Fujibayashi and Bailey Jenkins were 15th and 16th and Bowie Weishaar finished 21st. 

The Troy girls had Gracie Grable place 4th while Macie Grable was 7th place individually. Perry Lecompton had a pair of top 10 finishes as Katie Bartlett was 5th and Allison Boyden 10th. Brooklynn Schmelzle of Valley Falls was sixth and Lady Dragon teammate Maddison Conner was 14th while Clare Trotter finished in 12th place to lead Maur Hill/Mount Academy. Pleasant Ridge got a 13th place finish from Abby Templeton and Colie Clouse was 19th for the Lady Rams. 

 BOYS Complete Results 

The JCN boys had four of the top six individual runners and five of the top 10 medalists on the day. Pleasant Ridge boys were second as a team followed by Jeff West. 

Winning the boys race was Lucas Merideth by 40 seconds over teammate Isaac Kane from Jeff County North. Lane Edmonds and Max Kane ran 5th and 6th overall for the Chargers with Scotty Roloff rounding out the top 10.  

Pleasant Ridge had four of the top 11 runners on the boys side led by Andrew Steward with a third place medal. Coben Hoppe and Canon Duncan were 7th and 8th for P-Ridge while Nathan Hutchens ran 11th. 

Jeff West had three placers in the top 13 with Guy Phillips fourth overall. Laiken Emanuel was 9th place and Kyle Hermann placed 13th for the Tigers. 

McLouth had Drayton Kessler place 12th and Jaxson Plake was 14th as the Bulldogs placed fourth as a team. Micah Billett paced Oskaloosa boys with a 15th place finish while Jack Davis ran 19th for the Bears. Valley Falls was led by Josiah Hefty who placed 18th while Troy had a 20th place runner in Sawyer Ashburn.
