Riverside Invitational - Results

The high school volleyball season continued Saturday as Riverside hosted an invitational, and it was Jefferson County North who had the best area finish taking first place with a win over McLouth in the championship match.

The Lady Chargers opened up the day by going 3-0 in blue pool play taking down South Harrison and McLouth in two sets, before taking down Mound City in three.

JCN then met up with the host Riverside in the semifinals winning in two sets 27-25, 25-11, before taking down the Bulldogs in the championship in two sets 25-20, 25-21.

As to McLouth they got to the title match by going 2-1 in pool play, falling to JCN but picking up wins over Mound City and South Harrison.

The Bulldogs then met up with Oskaloosa who was the top team in the black pool with a 3-0 record in the semifinals, but McLouth came out on top in two sets 25-19 and 25-21 to make it to the title match.

After the loss to McLouth, Oskaloosa bounced back and took down Riverside in the third place match in a three-set thriller 25-23, 20-25 and 25-18.
