Peru State Names Athletes of the Month for September
Tyler Audsley

Mallory Hull (Morse Bluff) and Tyler Audsley (Prescott Valley, Ariz.) are the Peru State Bobcat Athletes of the Month for September as announced recently by athletic director Steve Schneider. This is the beginning of the third year for this monthly recognition for the Bobcat athletic department.

Hull is being recognized for September after having been named the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) Libero of the Week on Sept. 9. That week Hull helped the Bobcats snap a four-match losing streak as the team finished with a 4-1 mark to climb back over the .500 mark at that point. In a five-set win over McPherson College (Kan.), Hull had a career-high 35 digs.

Presently, Hull is averaging 4.9 digs per set. Hull ranks 13th in the NAIA in total digs with 390 and 36th in digs per game (4.940). In the HAAC, Hull is third in digs per set, but leads the HAAC in total digs.

Following the Bobcats' first game, Audsley was named as the HAAC's Offensive Player of the Week. Audsley, who took over the starting role as quarterback with less than one week to prepare, accounted for 208 total yards of offense which included four touchdowns – three on the ground and one through the air. The Bobcats soundly defeated Dakota State (S.D.) 56-21 to start the season.

Currently, Audsley is listed in the NAIA Individual rankings in eight different categories. Audsley is sixth in total scoring (TDs) (54), sixth in total scoring (54), eighth in scoring per game (13.5), eighth in the scoring (TDs) per game (13.5), 30th in total offense (835), 31st in total rushing (388), 32nd in pass efficiency (130.8), and 33rd in total offense per game (208.8).

AD Schneider stated, "Mallory and Tyler are deserving of the September Athletes of the Month recognition. Both have taken over for veterans in their different roles and are part of each team's success so far this season."
