The Troy girls basketball team finished a perfect 14-0 in Northeast Kansas League play to capture the league title for the 2024-2025 season.
Troy was previously in the Twin Valley League but made the move to the NEKL prior to the start of the 24-25 school year.
They are coming off their first winning season last year since 2016 and returned four starters and eight letterwinners this season.
The Trojans are a guard dominant team led by one of the leading scorers in the state in Harper Whetstine. Some of the other key players throughout the course of the season have been Allie Franken, Gracie Grable, Alyson Grable, and Emerson Weber.
They started the season 10-0 before suffering their lone loss of the season to Lafayette (MO) in the mid-season tournament at Hiawatha.
Since then, the Trojans have rattled off eight straight wins and are 18-1 overall going into sub-state tournament play.
Troy is the #2 seed in the Centralia 1A-I sub-state tournament and they will face the winner of Blue Valley-Randolph and Lincoln on Saturday, March 1st.
