The Doniphan West volleyball team went 2-0 on Tuesday night at home beating Axtell and Onaga in a Twin Valley League triangular. 

They opened the night with a 25-12, 22-25, 25-12 win over the Buffaloes and then followed that up in the nightcap with a 25-11, 18-25, 25-16 win against Axtell. 

The Mustangs improved their record to 5-3 overall and 4-2 in TVL play. The other matchup of the night saw Axtell beat Onaga 25-15, 25-16. 

Axtell's record is 6-6 overall and 4-3 in league play while Onaga left the night with a record of 5-8 overall and 0-6 in league play. 

Doniphan West will participate at the Hiawatha Tournament on Saturday while both Axtell and Onaga are off until next week with the Eagles competing at Linn and the Buffaloes competing at Frankfort.
