It was the Gold squad who posted a big time second half to defeat the Navy squad 104-78 in the 38th Annual Northeast Kansas Boys All-Star basketball game at Highland Community College.
Gold led the high scoring game 46-41 at halftime and would go on to outscore Navy 58-37 in the second half. The scoring was balanced with the Gold squad as they had seven players in double figures.
Atchison's Trey Carter finished with 15 points, Jefferson County North's Carson McAfee finished with 14 points, Atchison's Jeter Purdy finished with 13 points, Centrali's Reese Tanking finished with 12 points, Sabetha's Marcus Bauman finished with 11 points, Sabetha's Christian McAfee finished with 10 points, and Nemaha Central's Abe Hilbert finished with 10 points.
Concordia's Joey Henderson led the Navy squad in scoring as he finished with a game-high 18 points. Troy's Christian Etherton finished the game with 16 points and Horton's Gannon Becker added 10 points.
