Frankfort Late Track Invite Results (4-20-17) - Girls & Boys

Five Twin Valley League teams continued their track seasons by competing against each other as Frankfort hosted the action with Centralia, Hanover, Onaga and Valley Heights in attendance. 

The Centralia girls and boys at the end of the day had the best overall team performances taking first place. Lady Panthers totaled 125 points and won handily finishing at least 40 points ahead of the rest of the teams. Hanover girls took second, while the host Frankfort finished third and Onaga and Valley Heights took fourth and fifth. On the boys side it was a bit closer for the top spot as Centralia with 96 points earned first place but only edge Hanover by four points for first as the Wildcats took second. Frankfort, Valley Heights and Onaga finished out the team standings placing third, fourth and fifth. 

On the way to first place as a team for the Centralia girls and boys the Panthers earned 10 first place finishes. Eight of the 10 came in the girl’s competition for the Panthers led by Morgan Kramer who sprinted to the win in the 100 and 200 meter dashes with times of 12.76 and 27.17. Maegan Koch, Tamra Jones and Emma Holthaus all also won on the track taking the gold in the 400 meter dash (1:02.18), 1600 meter run (6:19.61) and 3200 meter run (13:58.02), respectively. In the field events a trio of lady Panthers earned first place finishes as Breanna Schmitz won another pole vault title (10'03), Kate Elliott took first in the shot put (33'03) and Madison Lueger placed first in the javelin (132'09). On the boys side of competition the Panthers took first in the 4x100 meter relay (47.82) and Stephan LeBlanc won the pole vault (13'00). 

Hanover Wildcats laid claim to the most event wins on the day with a combined 12 between the girls and boys. The Wildcat relay teams continue to have strong years as the girls and boys 4x400 and 4x800 meter relay squads each took first after posting times of 3:45.85 and 9:12.26 for the boys and 4:22.78 and 11:02.58 for the girls. Michael Jueneman won a pair of events racing to first place in the 200 meter dash (24.40) and 300 meter hurdles (43.77), while Pete Peters also won two events taking gold in the 400 meter dash (55.70) and high jump (5'06). Carter Bruna and Carols Emmanuel each won a field event tossing their way to wins in the javelin (159'03) and discus (121'07). The lady Wildcats outside of their relay wins had Claire Zarybnicky win the 800 meter run (2:35.41) and Macy Doebele leapt to the win in the triple jump (33'11). 

The host Frankfort Wildcats had six event wins on the day with three coming in the boy’s action and three in the girls competition. Lady Wildcats earned first in the 4x100 meter relay (53.10), while Gracie Schell won the high jump (4'06) and Emilee Ebert took first in the long jump (16'08). For the boys Brodric Shirley won the 1600 meter run (4:42.13), while Anthony Koch raced to first in the 110 meter hurdles (17.70) and Lance Ross threw his way to first in the shot put (42'05). 

Valley Heights Mustangs were led by Logan Woodyard who won three events sprinting to the win in the 100 meter dash (12.03), while leaping to wins in the long jump (18'02.50) and triple jump (38'03.25). Alex Hardin and Adrian Pishny each earned a first place finish on the day also grabbing gold in the 800 meter run (2:06.88) and 3200 meter run (10:49.57). 

Onaga Buffaloes were led by Belinda Ames who swept the hurdles winning the 100 and 300 meter hurdles with times of 17.71 and 51.66. Shay Duer tossed her way to the win in the discus (90'09).
