Leavenworth legion baseball continued their season Thursday night at home welcoming McLouth to town again in non-league play and came out of the action with their fifth and sixth wins of the season, winning 7-1 and 9-1.

In game one Preston Pfannenstiel pitched a complete game recording seven strikeouts to earn the win for Leavenworth.  While, Kaleb Karnosky pitched a complete game to earn the win in game two for Leavenworth.

The legion baseball season for the Northeast Kansas League teams continues on Friday night as Leavenworth travels to Atchison for a League double header and Silver Lake hosts Rock Creek in a non-league twinbill. On Saturday both Doniphan County and Sabetha take on Marysville in one senior legion game each with both games played at Sabetha, while Oskaloosa competes in the Alma Tournament starting on Saturday and wrapping up on Sunday.
