Eight Area 8-Man Football Players & One Coach Selected for Annual 8-Man All-Star Games

Every year several of the top 8-Man football seniors come together in Beloit, Kansas and participate in the annual 8-Man All-Star games for 8-Man Division I and II football. This year eight Twin Valley League 8-Man players and one coach have been selected for the annual All-Star games set for Saturday, June 11th. 

Axtell, Frankfort, Blue Valley-Randolph and Hanover are all represented on the selections for the annual 8-Man All-Star games. 

In Division II on the East team Axtell Eagle head coach, Eric Detweiler has been selected to lead the team after leading Axtell to a 10-2 record this past year and made the Sub-State round of the playoffs for the second straight year. Two of his players were selected to the DII East squad as Colton Buessing and Brice Koch were both selected to the All-Star game. Buessing helped quarterback the Eagles to their 10-2 record this past year finishing with 1,306 yards passing with 18 touchdowns and only three interceptions, while rushing for 572 yards with 12 touchdowns. Colton also record 66 tackles, a sack and fumble recovery on defense and earned All-State honors at linebacker this year, while being first team All-TVL linebacker and second team All-TVL quarterback. Koch was Buessing's top target this past year as Brice registered 618 yards receiving with nine touchdowns, while posting 90 tackles on defense with three interceptions, three fumble recoveries and a forced fumble. Brice earned first team All-TVL at end on offense and second team All-TVL at defensive back, while getting honorable mention All-State. 

A pair of Frankfort Wildcats were also selected to the DII East team for the 8-Man All-Star game. Wildcat seniors, Jase Suther and Ryan Kraushaar both were selected for the All-Star game after helping Frankfort finish 5-4 this past season. Suther who was honorable mention All-State and first team All-TVL at runningback led Frankfort out of the backfield with 1,504 yards rushing with 25 touchdowns, while posting 88 tackles, two sacks, three interceptions and two fumble recoveries. Kraushaar snagged 30 passes for Frankfort this past season for 537 yards and nine touchdowns, while recording 55 tackles, an interception, forced fumble and eight pass defenses, leading to first team All-TVL honors at end and defensive back and honorable mention All-State. 

Also selected to the East DII squad is Blue Valley-Randolph senior, Chase Carey who picked up second team All-TVL honors at linebacker this year. Carey led the team play quarterback and being the Rams top threat out of the backfield rushing for around 500 yards on the ground this year in a 2-7 season for Blue Valley. 

In the 8-Man Division I side three Hanover Wildcats were selected to the East team for the All-Star game in Beloit. The Wildcats posted a 13-1 record this past season and for the second straight year finished as State runner-up. Paden Pralle, Trey Loshe and Matthew White were all selected to the All-Star game for Hanover. Pralle anchored an offensive line that blocked for a Hanover offense that averaged 332.4 yards per game, while on defense making 54 tackles with four fumble recoveries, a forced fumble and a blocked punt. Loshe snagged 79 balls for the Wildcats amassing 1,286 yards receiving with 24 touchdowns, while also recording 84 tackles, three interceptions and a fumble recovery. White caught 38 passes for Hanover for 700 yards and nine touchdowns and ran for two more scores, while making 22 tackles on defense and picked off eight passes, also. 

The annual 8-Man All-Star games are set for Saturday, June 11th in Beloit, Kansas.
