2015 Rim Rock Cross Country Invitational Results - click here

One of the largest meets around took place on Saturday in Lawrence, Kansas and a few area teams competed in the annual Rim Rock cross country Invitational. 

Hiawatha, Jeff West, Atchison and McLouth had competitors participating in competition at Rim Rock this year. 

The top area performance came from Atchison as Sarah Jaloma competed with 229 other runners in the Crimson varsity race and posted a time of 20:25.30 to place 13th on the day. While in the Blue varsity race Atchison Redmen, Simon Holly notched a time of 18:15.50 to place 43rd out of 271 competitors. 

For the Red Hawks of Hiawatha three runners earned Top 50 finishes at Rim Rock. Gavin Lierz raced to a time of 18:20.90 to place 50th out of 271 runners, while in in the girls race Elizabeth Kettler and Aly Shamburg placed 42nd (22:01.00) and 47th (22:14.70), respectively. 

The competition was highlighted by several top runners in Kansas and other states.
