Looking for a top notch showing the Riverside Cyclones rolled on to the mats on Saturday at the Albany Invitational and that they accomplished placing third as a team out of 11 teams (including two JV's).

The Cyclones posted 88 points on their way to third place at the Albany Invitational, as nine wrestlers had Top five finishes for Riverside on the day.

Scott Resler paced the way for Riverside with a perfect 3-0 day on the mats at 132lbs and picked up a first place finish. Three pinfalls wins were earned by Resler as he won in 24 seconds, 2:50 and 2:31 to claim first place.

Two Cyclones took home second place finishes as Derrick Karn (126lbs) and Brayden Seimears (145lbs) each nabbed silver medals. Karn unfortunately went 0-2 in competition but took home second as only two competitors were in the 126lbs competition, while Seimears went 1-1 in competition picking up his win by pinfall (1:56).

Third place finishes were earned by five Cyclone wrestlers as Todd Hailey (145lbs), Jacob MacKnight (160lbs), Drew Trump (170lbs), Donovan Duncan (182lbs) and Braxton Goacher (195lbs) all finished third. Goacher put together the most wins of the five going 3-2 in competition with three pinfall wins (0:12, 3:35 and 2:57), while Trump posted a 2-2 record in action with a pair of pinfall wins (1:42 and 1:53). For Duncan a 1-3 record earned him third place with his lone win coming in a 15-6 major decision victory, while Hailey and MacKnight both finished 0-2 in competition.
