(KTNC) - Falls City and Norris advanced in the winners bracket of the Class B1 Senior Legion Area Tournament with wins Saturday evening.
Norris, the tournament's top seed, made quick work of #4 seed Fairbury, winning 14-0 in five innings.  The loss eliminates Fairbury, which lost to Falls City, 7-5, on Friday.
Falls City, the #3 seed in the six team bracket, beat Auburn 7-2 Saturday.  The Blue Storm broke a scoreless tie by scoring four runs in the bottom of the third inning - even though they had only one hit in the frame.  Falls City took advantage of five walks by Auburn pitchers.  Falls City added two more runs in the fourth inning and an insurance run in the sixth.
Auburn, which played a 16 inning marathon against Nebraska City Friday night, scored its two runs in the top of the seventh.  They loaded the bases with two outs, but Falls City pitcher Jordy Stoller induced a ground ball to shortsop Chaz Dunn to end the ball game.  Stoller pitched a complete game for the Blue Storm.
Falls City will take on Norris at 6:30 Sunday evening.  The winner will earn a spot in Tuesday's championship game, while the loser will have to win a game Monday to advance.
Norris has cruised through its first two games of the tournament, winning by a combined score of 20-0.
Auburn will play Beatrice in an elimination game at 4:00 p.m. Sunday.  Beatrice, the #6 seed, eliminated Nebraska City with a 7-5 victory Saturday afternoon.
The Area Tournament is being played a SNC Field in Falls City.
