Frankfort entered tonight as the number five seed, having upset earlier this week the #3 Ranked team in class 1A D1 Bishop Seabury out of Lawrence the number four seed. Up to tonight, the number nine seed, Blue Valley Randolph, has been remarkable in the post-season with upsets over Centralia and Lincoln. Beating a team three times in a single season is never an easy task, but Frankfort got it done in the Sub-State Championship game 44-36 over the Rams.

The first quarter started electric for the Wildcats with a quick 20-7 start. Frankfort hit three threes in the first quarter with threes coming from Wes Anderson, Lane Loiseau, and Tyler Smith. The senior Loiseau would finish the quarter with nine total points and two boards. Loiseau would also add a massive dunk to get momentum roaring for the Wildcats.

Frankfort would be out-scored in the second quarter eleven-to-seven but would hold the lead at 27-18 going into halftime. Roles reversed in the second quarter as the Rams would three threes from three different players, with Bradon Brockman, Reid Schreiber, and Jarin Brenner all cashing in from Blue Valley.

The Ram's defense would continue to be dominant through the third quarter holding Frankfort to just four points through eight minutes, but Blue Valley would also be held to a low-scoring eight points. With the scoring heading into the fourth 37-26.

The game would only get as close to two points in the fourth quarter before the Wildcats would finally use the rest of the gas in their tank to finish out the game with the final score of 44-36. Frankfort would hit four straight free throw shots to end the game and Wes Anderson tagged a three in the final quarter to apply the final nail into the Rams.

Junior Wes Anderson finished the night with eight points, two threes, and nine rebounds. Lane Loiseau finished with thirteen points on the game and four boards. Frankfort would finish with five total scorers having six points or more to finish.
