Jackson Heights Cobras and Maur Hill Mount-Academy Ravens take one another on for their thirteenth all time total matchup against each other, Coach Wick for the Cobras had a 7-2 record when facing Maur Hill and after last night’s dominant 55-0 win, he just extended his record to 8-2 over the Ravens.

The Cobras won the coin toss and elected to receive at half; However, Maur Hill didn’t want to receive the ball at all, so Jackson Heights started with the football in both the first half and second. Jackson Heights scored touchdowns on both half opening drives.

Titus Eisenbarth had a huge impact for the Cobras tonight, not only did he score on the opening drive with a 10-yard rushing touchdown. He also had two receiving touchdowns and he tacked on another rushing score to give himself a total of four touchdowns on the night. Eisenbarth also had over 200+ total offensive yards for the Cobras.

Jackson Heights led 48-0 zero heading into halftime after a dominant first half performance. Drake Mellies even finished the game with over 180+ offensive yards and two passing touchdowns. Mellies would get substituted out in the third quarter and Kolby Bowhay came in to finish the game for the Cobras.

The Cobras not only found themselves slithering into the end zone on offense, but as well on defense. Sophomore defensive end Sir Peak had a pick-six off of Maur Hill’s quarterback, Luke Siebert, for the fourth Cobra touchdown on the game. The interception was just one of two Jackson Heights had on the day, and one of three turnovers they forced in the day.

Offensively Maur Hill couldn’t get going all night, if they did, the huge play would immediately be taking back because of an illegal man down field or a holding penalty. However receivers Owen Dulac, Omari Shepherd, and especially Raheem Thompson all had decent performances and catching opportunities through the game for the Ravens.

Jackson Heights finished the night with backups and went into the fourth quarter leading 55-0 and ended the game with backups. Another interesting note is that the Cobras picked up a transfer student, Jan Ludvick, who would last night go 7/8 on extra points and even lined up for a 47-yard field goal before half. Unfortunately, the snap wasn’t good on the attempt, otherwise the Junior, Jan Ludvick, would have had an opportunity to tie a Jackson Heights school record.
