Sabetha's Garrett Michael has been named one of the head coaches for the 2025 Kansas Shrine Bowl along with Dominick Dingle of Wichita Heights. 

Michael will coach the East squad after being an assistant coach this past summer and also back in 2018. 

Michael was head of the Bluejays program for 15 seasons winning 104 games including back-to-back 3A state titles in 2017 and 2018. He led the Bluejays to back-to-back 2A state semifinal appearances in 2022 and 2023. 

The West holds the all-time series lead with a 31-18-2 record after the East ended a six-year drought with a 35-26 win in the latest game. The East will be looking to win consecutive games for the first time since 2015 and 2016.

The 52nd Kansas Shrine Bowl game will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Memorial Stadium in Dodge City.
