It was the Hiawatha girls and Silver Lake boys who won the Holton cross country meet on Thursday afternoon. 

Starting with the boys Silver Lake had the top two finishes from Aemon Hoffman and Hunter Rooks who went first and second respectively. 

Guy Phillips of Jefferson West, Konner Chandler of Hiawatha, and Ethan Tolbert of Perry-Lecompton rounded out the top five times. 

Holton and Hiawatha finished second and third as a team behind Silver Lake. Holton posted two runners inside the top 10 with Jacob Warner finishing ninth and Dominic Lancaster finishing in 10th place. 

Pauly Rockey of Hiawatha won the girls event finishing roughly 12 seconds ahead of second place which was Ava Clayton from Holton. 

Rounding out the top five times were Tessa Gerber of Silver Lake, Alessandra Gerber of Silver Lake, and Katelyn Vogel from Oskaloosa. 

Other notable top 10 finishes were from Aubrey Phillips of Jefferson West in sixth place and Clare Trotter of Maur Hill-Mount Academy in ninth place.
