KPreps have released their rankings ahead of week two matchups on Friday night. 

Axtell still holds the top spot in 8M-II after winning their 40th straight game in week one vs. Linn. They will look for their 41st straight win on Friday against Washington County. 

After defeating Clifton-Clyde 70-34 in week one, Frankfort still holds the #2 spot right behind Axtell. They will have a big time test in week two as they host the defending 8M-I champs in Lyndon. 

Rossville drops a spot to #3 in Class 1A after losing in overtime to rival Silver Lake last week despite having a double digit lead in the third quarter. 

Making its first appearance in the 1A rankings this week is Jackson Heights at #5. The Cobras had high expectations coming into the season and beat Riverside in their opener 35-7. 

A trio of Big East league teams highlight the Class 2A rankings with St. Marys ranked third, Silver Lake fourth, and Nemaha Central fifth. 

The Bears beat Perry-Lecompton in their opener last week 30-6, the Eagles beat Rossville in overtime, and the Thunder had their 26 game winning streak snapped with a loss to Marysville.
