Day one of the State Golf Tournaments concluded on Monday across Kansas with area teams and individuals competing in 1A, 2A, 3A, and 4A.
Class 4A in McPherson: Holton's Korben Fox finished 13-over which put him in 48th place out of 94 participants.
Class 3A at Emporia Municipal: Sabetha's Cole Grimes sitting in sixth place after a four-over round. Roman Scoby finished six-over, Caleb Renyer finished 10-over, Cullen Wikle finished 12-over, Cole Moore 13-over, and Dalton Rokey 13-over. Marysville's Eli Sedlaeck is sitting in 21st place after firing a day one score of eight-over par.
Class 2A in Dodge City: Maur Hill-Mount Academy finished third at Regional's and qualified as a team. They are led after day one by Luke Siebert who shot nine-over which was good for 17th place. Nathan Randolph shot a 16-over round while Noah Raplinger shot a 17-over round. Jayden DeWalt of Valley Heights shot 10-over which was good for 21st place. Horton's Kaden Smith was 19-over while Chandler Newman was 30-over.
Class 1A in Hesston: Onaga got their best day one round from Graham Valburg who finished 12-over which was good for 16th place. Konnor Nider was 17-over and Joshua Daniels finished at 18-over. Paxton Bowers posted the best round for Centralia as he was 17-over and in 32nd place. Reese Tanking shot 20-over and Tyler Jones shot 26-over.
